As part of Global Digital Marketing, the Global Social Media team is shaping the strategic vision and implementation across all organic social media platforms. As social media becomes increasingly complex, Nike Global Social Media is responsible for understanding the landscape, standing out and deepening the connection of our brand with consumers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Global Social Creative Lead for Nikerunning plays a critical role in leading social creative strategy and creating connected experiences that engage audiences across key platforms. This position will synthesize information from external partners and across the organization to deliver a consistent creative experience for consumers across our channels, demonstrating Nike's leadership in social media.
In this role you will be visible to senior leaders within Global Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Commerce, and Creative. You want to be a part of this team because you are a passionate creative that is knowledgeable about Sport and Sport Culture (i.e. running, fitness, etc.). You understand the evolving landscape of social media and what it takes to stand out creatively in this space. You lean into social and creative innovation and understand how it will be adopted and brought to life across social. You are a mobile first digital evangelist, a thought partner, and a consumer advocate. You obsess creative trends across Sport and social media and are excited to develop social media creative strategy that provide elevated experiences to our consumers. You have experience working with high profile athletes and external partners. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and are a self-starter.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you will be working with our Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing and Creative partners to shape all the creative experiences that live within social media. You will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of our channel creative strategy inclusive of tone and voice. You will respond to creative needs across seasonal marketing briefs, lead content creation to deliver social right content, and oversee channel creative standards to ensure they are met across both seasonal and always on marketing executions.
A typical day/week looks like
- Partner cross-functionally and with Geo's to communicate social creative direction and strategy
- Write and refine marketing briefs to ensure platform-right, channel-right creative is being implemented
- Partner with Creative and Brand Marketing to ensure alignment across our channel creative strategy.
- Manage and facilitate overarching creative shares with Brand, Digital, Creative, Marketing leadership and GEO partners across the organization
- Meet with agency partners and Consumer Services to ensure creative strategy is being properly executed
- Developing plans and creative executions for content capture coming from campaign/marketing shoots
- Developing, writing and finessing copy aligned to channels tone and voice
- Leading the social creative review process and leading final sign off / alignment with global and geo creative teams
- Developing content plans for campaigns and one-off marketing shoots aligned to channel's creative strategy and consumer needs
In this role, you will sit in the Digital Marketing team, reporting to the Social Director of Running. You will work with social leads and an agency partner for programming, publishing, and creative needs. You will partner closely with Digital Marketing and Brand to ensure overall channel strategy, creative strategy and executions align with overarching brand and business goals.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of strategy experience working on a social creative team or at a social creative agency
- Higher degree in Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- Functional Expertise across social channels such as Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and Pinterest
- Proven experience working on social creative strategy for large brand campaigns
- Expertise in social content capture specifically for large brand activations
- Experience building content capture plans for large productions
- Proven experience in managing up, across, and downstream with peers and partners
- Proven experience working with creative partners on building creative strategies for social platforms (examples of projects encouraged)
- Experience working with high profile talent inclusive of athlete, celebrities and/or influencers
- Experience working with and managing Agency partners
- Comfortable in managing ever-changing platform landscapes while providing clear POV's and flexibility to align / educate / compromise with partners.
- Early adopter and problem solver for digital platforms (Comfortable trying new tools and adapting to process improvements)
- Experience working and managing teams within Sprinklr, AirTable, Asana, Figma (or other)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience writing social and/or digital marketing campaign copy
