Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position sits within Customer 360, which is a part of the broader Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization.

The team is focused on enabling the best customer experience everyday through a differentiated set of products and services. A key part to accomplishing this vision, is knowing your customers (individuals or businesses), and having a holistic understanding of that customer. Customer 360 is an AXP-wide capability that provides a global enterprise view of entities (that have or had an American Express relationship with at least one product or service globally), comprehensive insights, and linkages for consumer, merchant, and commercial. This will fundamentally reshape our ecosystem and the way we engage with our customers by leveraging Amex internal/external data assets, world-class machine learning algorithms and Big Data environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Associate Portfolio Manager, you will partner closely with internal C360 product teams, Portfolio Management teams for LOB, Portfolio Management operations and C360 technology team in overall C360 Portfolio planning, management, and execution to drive the Customer 360 product vision and strategy and addressing key Enterprise priorities.

We're looking for a high caliber Sr. Associate Portfolio Manager who is able to work in a cross-functional team and deliver on the following goals and objectives:

Lead Portfolio Management activities for C360 which is comprised of multiple product teams that own Customer 360 data and platform ecosystem, digital processes, and data governance & management.Partner with LPM, including LPM operations and portfolio leads across business units and centers of excellence to manage portfolio planning and delivery tracking for C360 product.Work closely with C360 technology RTE on PI planning and execution, including Program Increment (PI) & feature readiness, creation & co-ordination of PI materials, generating PI readouts and Newsletter.Create best practices for product delivery in collaboration with product and tech colleagues.Track overall investment planning, including tracking LOB demand and progress against our product commitments.Drive the review and assessment of business initiatives. Work with the necessary leaders and stakeholders to arrive at the most feasible decision based on circumstances. Monitor and manage the ongoing demand.Define processes to streamline intake and demand management activities, capacity planning and tracking. Create goals, metrics, targets, and measure portfolio management efficiency to identify ways to optimize processes.Partner with product, LPM product ops and portfolio teams to design and maintain robust portfolio-level roadmaps through proper sequencing and coordination and resolution of blockers/dependencies to ensure timely product delivery.Create and deliver executive-level and stakeholder communications for ongoing priorities, including status updates, roadmap, dependencies, pressure points and key decisions requiring alignment.Demonstrate a willingness to continually learn and continuously implement frameworks and process improvements within a dynamic and highly matrixed environment.Support overall program management efforts including tracking project status, managing, and escalating risks and issues. Qualification Requirements: This high energy individual must have the following qualifications: A minimum 3+ years' experience in portfolio management, program management and/or product management. Due to the nature of the role, a well-rounded individual with proficiency in these areas would be deemed as the best candidate.Strong enterprise thinking and customer mindset with a track record of influencing others to embrace change. A quick and decisive thinker, with natural abilities to lead and execute activities across a large team.Very strong collaboration skills - ability to lead and build relationships cross-functionally to deliver on shared objectives. Proven ability to lead and manage workstreams independently and juggle multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment. Excellent/sharp/concise/clear verbal and written communication skills, necessary. The ability to interact effectively with diverse audience across Business and Technical teams, and more senior audiences are necessary. Superb presentation building skills with ability to "tell a story" in a clear and concise way to various types of audiences. Highly skilled in Agile product development methodologies and a mastery of enterprise collaboration tools. Proficiency in analytical and presentation tools necessary, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Atlassian tools, including Clarity, Jira, Rally, and Confluence a plus.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrate success in reviewing data and demonstrating insights to meet complex reporting needs and interest in learning new tools and ability to experiment with new ways of demonstrating key themes from data.A dedicated team-player with a passion for innovation and a demonstrated ability to evolve in a changing environment.Self-starter who can work independently, has exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.History of high performance and proven ability to adjust to shifting priorities and manage through ambiguity.Ability to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor in the face of challenges. Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree in business management/product management or related field or equivalent work experience. A good balance of portfolio, project & business knowledge with a proven track record of driving digital innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset. Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
