Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public health, health education, or a related field.
  • Experience working on externally funded and/or grant funded programs.
  • Ability to prepare correspondence that includes research writing, literature reviews, reports and grant proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience with research methods for program planning and assessment.
  • Experience translating scientific or technical information for the public.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in communication, public health, health education or a related field.
  • Experience with community-based health research.
  • Event planning experience.

Job Description

Responsible for providing professional supervision and support for grant-funded Translational Health Research Center programs.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate activities of grant-funded health research programs.
  • Assist project director with program development for externally funded programs and grant programs within the center.
  • Collaborate with key THRC personnel to support grant activities.
  • Attend meetings in support of grant-funded projects.
  • Assist project director in development of evaluation reports to the funding agency.
  • Prepare correspondence to the funder that includes reports, evaluations and programmatic reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
