Position Overview:

As a Quality Engineer at Velo3D you will be responsible for software quality on a highly sophisticated metal 3D printing system.

The team is looking a quality engineer who is excited to learn about our print system and drive validation of our software releases. You will enjoy a small company atmosphere, working with motivated engineers, and excellent benefits including healthcare coverage and 401(K) matching.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with product managers and internal users of the printer to develop test plans
  • Execution of test plans in conjunction with software engineers, process technicians
  • Analytics and metrology data collection
  • Automating tests
  • Following up on test failures with the relevant software and hardware engineers

Qualifications:

  • Interest in learning our printer hardware and software
  • Strong software troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to track and implement complex testing plans
  • Experience in coordinating activity of multidisciplinary teams
  • (optional) Knowledge of Python
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's preferred; field: EE/CS/ME
  • (optional) knowledge of Jira, X-ray

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this full-time position is between $135,000 and $142,800. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. In addition to a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and equity program, as applicable.
