Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes meet design requirements and established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Quality Representative**: Serve as a quality representative on product development activities, including design and development reviews, releases, and changes.
  • **Inspection and Test Methods**: Interpret design requirements to develop and implement inspection and test methods and procedures.
  • **Conduct Inspections and Tests**: Conduct or support inspections and tests (including source inspections) of materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure conformity with design requirements and quality standards.
  • **Quality Reviews and Traceability**: Conduct quality reviews and establish traceability of supplier documentation, such as certificates of conformance, material/special process certifications, and inspection/test reports.
  • **Supplier Quality**: Work with supplier quality on supplier quality-related escapes found on the shopfloor.
  • **Nonconforming Material Reports**: Initiate nonconforming material reports and root cause investigations for product quality issues.
  • **Corrective Actions**: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • **Quality Performance Monitoring**: Monitor and report on quality performance.
  • **Supplier Approvals and Contract Reviews**: Support the procurement and supply chain teams with supplier approvals, contract reviews, and supplier quality issues.
  • **Manufacturing Process Plans**: Support the manufacturing team with the development and approval of manufacturing process plans and resolution of manufacturing issues.
  • **Internal Audits**: Assist with planned or ad-hoc internal audits to ensure compliance and effectiveness of the QMS.
  • **Quality Awareness**: Promote awareness of quality requirements, goals, objectives, and standard methodologies.
  • **Travel**: May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel.
Requirements
  • **Bachelor's Degree**: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
  • **Experience**: A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation manufacturing, quality engineering, or quality assurance.
  • **AS9100 or ISO 9001**: Comprehension of AS9100 or ISO 9001 standard.
  • **ASQ Certification**: ASQ certification preferred.
  • **Desirable Skills**: Experience with programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), inspection of machine components, and performance of gauge R&R studies is desirable. Electrical/Battery production knowledge is a plus.
What We Offer

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation. The pay range for this position is: $159,881—$223,602 USD.
