Supervisor - Finished Goods 1

SUMMARY
Direct daily activities of all personnel to enhance the overall efficiencies and accuracies of all processes required to pick and stage products from finished goods storage locations for MAHLE Aftermarket Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor gravity lanes, verify and schedule variation pf port usage.
- Regularly check warehouse overview in LogBase to track exception codes and cancellation codes.
- Manually create a warehouse task in SAP to move the blue totes to the LTL staging area. Perform Cancel put-away tasks for AutoStore and create new put-away tasks if necessary.
- Coordinate with Inventory Control for cycle counts of AutoStore.
- Troubleshooting support at AutoStore when put away cannot be executed.
- Assign work and maintain workflow at optimum levels. Coordinate with other supervisors, group leaders, SAP Coordinators, and Production Control Coordinators to investigate problem part numbers and storage locations.
- On the job training of new employees and/or temporaries – testing/auditing of correct performance and execution of warehouse tasks and responsibilities. Document via Basic Departmental Specific Training Plan.
- Invest time each day with new employees and/or temporaries for first 2 weeks with the intent to conduct an effective onboarding experience, ensure training retention, and remove obstacles preventing the development of an effective team member.
- Provide necessary resources and tools to keep personnel productive (radios, lifts & harnesses, pallets, scanners, box cutters, etc.).
- Daily assignment and verification of aisles/areas for cleanup and 5S. Manage efforts known as Rack Attack to address potential inventory issues.
- Monitor and disposition all pallets/bin boxes/products in area of responsibility for correct status identification. Address problems immediately. Perform Safety Observation Tour (SOT) monthly.
- Must possess strong proven leadership and people skills. Ability to prioritize and schedule work flow within department. Provide timely feedback on employee performance. Develop department members to support all department requirements. Must possess basic knowledge of Human Resource skills and Labor practices.
- Be part of the solution. Perform disciplinary action as required.
- Maintain timely employee records concerning attendance and production performance. Access timekeeping system to correct punches & attendance for all employees; ensure accurate time sheets for temporaries via temp agency requirements. Cover for absenteeism and vacation as required.
- Develop, submit, and test system changes and improvements to include new projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum high school diploma
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to identify and solve problems, make decisions, and to work within assigned deadlines with a high attention to detail
- Strong investigational and problem solving skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and financial analysis abilities
- Knowledge of current audit principles
- Ability to design, implement, and manage complex processes
- Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office applications. Must have excellent Excel skills, including pivot table and macros, ability to merge and analyze large amounts data for effective decision making and execution.
- Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse or other ERP system tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent attendance/safety record
- Must be proficient in SAP / PEW ERP system.
- Must be willing to work in warehouse environment and trained to operate all job required support devices, such as RF scanners, tablets, etc.
- Self-starter; dedicated detail oriented individual
- Ability to organize multiple tasks while maintaining control of own and department's workloads. This would include projects.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively within department and with colleagues across various levels of management.
- Forklift and order picker certified or willingness to learn is preferred.
- SAP warehouse management experience highly preferred.
