We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Operator Mechanic Lead.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will have completed certified training modules and will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining all designated equipment within the assigned production departments. This role involves coordinating work and addressing production and equipment challenges under the guidance of a supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and operate equipment within the department.
- Coordinate work and resolve production or equipment issues with supervision.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on all machinery.
- Ensure equipment is operated to produce safe, high-quality food while meeting departmental KPIs.
- Adjust line speeds as necessary to optimize production and maintain quality standards.
- Perform daily and weekly operational checks on all equipment and submit work requests for repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, minimizing downtime by notifying maintenance for assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including routine servicing of equipment.
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in training and evaluating the performance of department employees.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assume some supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor.
- Record weekly inventory of department supplies.
- Participate in training sessions, employee meetings, and project teams as needed.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional training in trades being a significant advantage. Candidates must complete company training modules for all qualified equipment. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential. Basic mathematical skills are necessary for tasks such as material sizing and time reporting.
Physical Requirements
This position requires physical stamina, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Candidates should be able to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and manual dexterity.
Work Environment
The role is primarily indoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and potential contact with various materials. Personal protective equipment is required due to noise and other environmental factors.
