Overview of position and responsibilities: The Director of Safety and Service Assurance will provide strategic leadership in safety management within the organization. This critical role will foster a safety-first culture, mitigate risks, ensure quality, minimize incidents and ensure the workplace is compliant with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations. Reporting directly to the VP of Field Operations, the Director of Safety will develop programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety/department orientations, regular safety audits and quality checks, skills training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, and the use of protective equipment. This role will also partner inside of field operations to determine the need for technical training, lead the development of technical training curriculum, coordinate with 3 rd party industry training sources and scheduling of the training. Another key function will be the developing, measuring, implementation and evaluation of a quality assurance program to support the KPI's of field operations across both internal and external partners.

What You Will Do:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Develop quality assurance, training and safety programs and processes, including training and coaching to establish clear expectations and procedures.
  • Effectively drive sustainable implementation of corporate, division and local processes via leadership, coaching and teamwork.
  • Develop a systemic process to collect data, complete quality assurance and analyze the causes of accidents with reporting.
  • Use data-driven insights to implement sustainable processes to reduce and prevent accidents.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with local, state and federal and customer safety requirements. Maintain OSHA 300 Log and internal reporting as required.
  • Coordinate class information, documentation, quality, testing, and evaluation.
  • Monitor training progress in all Bluepeak field locations.
  • Organize, develop, and conduct materials/training for Safety Committee on safety topics and current safety programs.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement principles, tools, systems, and processes to enhance performance and quality.
  • Lead and mentor a team of trainers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence while managing performance.
  • Communicate and collaborate with management team and operations managers to ensure safety strategies, training curriculum and quality programs align with corporate expectations and policies.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive safety and quality check programs at all levels.
  • Oversee the investigation of safety incidents, ensuring thorough analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass MVR.
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in a leadership role in safety management and quality assurance training.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improve safety outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and risk management principles
  • MS Office Suite: Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, OneNote
