General Summary of Position
The Floor Technician, using specialized, power equipment, is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet. Responsibilities include:
- Stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting of areas that include offices, patient rooms, classrooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas such as the cafeteria.
- Preforms preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.
- Secures the work area and posts proper safety notices prior to the beginning of work.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
One year experience and/or completion of the DES Floor Tech Training Program Required
High School Diploma or GED Required
