Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.
  • Champion HCA FLORIDA PUTNAM HOSPITAL's mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company.
  • Provides administrative clerical support to the CNO, CFO and other members of the administrative suite.
  • Is the main interface between physicians, patients, the public, employees and the CNO and CFO.
  • Attends Compliance Committee meetings and CNO Directors meetings, and other meetings as requested. Publishes agendas, provides accurate minutes, and coordinates meeting schedules.
  • Follows through on all recommendations, correspondence and directives for committees noted above.
  • Maintains hospital conference room calendars.
  • Maintains Administrative On-Call Schedule.
  • Maintains hospital Policystat site as the Site Administrator for the hospital. Initiate's review of expiring policies 60-90 days in advance of renewal. Types policies and uploads policies to PolicyStat.
  • Prepares and distributes correspondence for the CNO and CFO as required. Opens and categorizes administration's mail.
  • Maintains / orders supplies for Department use.
  • Maintains the hospital organization chart.
  • Maintains the Director and Manager emergency call list.
What qualifications you will need:
  • High school, college and/or equivalent training to provide mastery of the technical clerical aspects of the job and the interpersonal and behavioral characteristics to perform in the administrative environment.
  • 5 -7 years of advanced clerical and senior management office experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Licensed Notary or willing to become licensed

HCA Florida Putnam Hospital is a 99-bed acute care facility serving North Central Florida. Our hospital is located in Palatka, Florida. We serve the residents of Putnam County and surrounding areas. We provide the latest technology with the assurance of highly trained and empathetic professionals. We have a 10-bed intensive care unit and a 24-hour emergency department. We have a cardiac catheterization laboratory and offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
