Dispatch Operator

Our client is seeking a Dispatch Operator to join their team and provide high-quality dispatching of field services officers to respond to a wide variety of calls for service from rescues and emergencies to animal pick-ups and complaints. Additionally, the Dispatch Operator will assist clients in a professional and courteous manner and provide accurate information to general public inquiries.

The qualified candidate will have their high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 1 year clerical/admin and phone/call center experience, and possess strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.

Full-time, Monday to Friday (Full-time and part-time shifts available)

Location
Honolulu, Oahu

Pay
$17 to $21 an hour

Responsibilities
  • Receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service needs.
  • Prioritize incoming calls and dispatch appropriate officers for follow up.
  • Relay pertinent information in a factual and concise manner.
  • Log service calls into the database accurately.
  • Assist with timely issuance of correspondence to the public including but not limited to field services letters and lost & found concerns.
  • Produce and maintain accurate statistics and reports.
  • Assist general public with lost and found animals.
  • Participate in meetings with members of the field services department.
  • Participate and support events and seminars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of clerical/admin and phone/call center experience required.
  • Proficient with using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and data entry skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and remain calm.
  • Motivated, hardworking, dependable.
