The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Material Handler, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Performs receiving, shipping, and all material handling duties consistent with the production operational needs of the plant
  • Knows and understands all safety requirements for the department
  • Person needs to be detail oriented for all work being completed
  • Ability to follow a daily schedule under direction of supervisor
  • Ability to receive goods and place them in the correct location
  • When needed, retrieve goods for the operation of the department
  • Complete any processing requirements that are needed to ship goods out
  • Utilize SAP and ISO operating policy and procedures
  • Operates forklift, pallet jack, hoist, hand held taping devise, banding equipment, stretch wrap and other material moving equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Minimum six (6) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have a valid forklift license.
