Job Summary

dormakaba is seeking a Second Shift Material Handler I based in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves end-to-end ownership of the material replenishment and fulfillment process for all materials in the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment, including Fork Truck, Forklift, Work Assist Vehicle (WAV), and Turret Stock Picker (TSP)
  • Ensure accurate stocking levels are maintained without disrupting customer service
  • Examine shipments for damage and verify accuracy of information on packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading
  • Complete material movement transactions using SAP software via RF device or computer
  • Pull material parts from bins using a pick list and RF device to fill Transfer Orders

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Experience communicating effectively within a manufacturing environment
  • Solid Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) experience or ability to be certified
  • Physical ability to stand/walk/sit, use hands and fingers to handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb/balance, lift up to 50 pounds, and use close vision with or without correction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of SAP system
  • Experience operating PIVs
