Job Description:
Job Summary
This opportunity is part of the McDonald's Customer Experience, Innovation & Product team where our vision is to develop digital customer experiences that delight our customers and enable our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.
As an Associate Product Manager, McDelivery Tools, you will be responsible for driving outcomes for ancillary tools for our international Integrated McDelivery product. These tools are used by markets, crew and call center teams to help manage delivery orders and aid customer support. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager of McDelivery System (MDS) within the Delivery product domain. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to drive product innovation and achieve business goals. You will be the champion of the customer and crew, translating their needs and feedback into product requirements and driving customer-centric product development. The ideal candidate is a customer-obsessed, product innovator who can lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that customers love and that win for the business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Senior Product Manager to develop and implement the product strategy and roadmap for Delivery Tools experiences, aligning with overall business goals and market trends
  • Accountable for the product roadmap and communication to stakeholders
  • Participate in squad ceremonies for their product domain and liaise with third-party engineering teams to map dependencies, align requirements, and define shared implementation details
  • Drive end-to-end product development, including participating in market research, defining customer requirements, crafting product specifications, and working with engineering and design teams to develop and launch product enhancements and new features
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to determine the best functional solutions for our users, prioritize the work, and track against timelines
  • Take ownership over features and translate requirements into specifications and user stories
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies
  • Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments
  • Deeply understand customer and restaurant crew needs, difficulties, and behaviors through research, user feedback, and market analysis. Use insights to advise product decisions and prioritize product backlog items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global markets including engineering, design, marketing, operations, and customer support, to ensure smooth execution of product initiatives. Develop a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with team members to align product goals and achieve business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Passionate and customer-obsessed, looking for new solutions for the business, who truly enjoys designing and delivering great experiences to build brand affinity.
  • Capable of finding product solutions that customers (internal and external) love, in a business that has complex operational and service delivery considerations
  • Knowledge and familiarity with UX design, customer experience and customer experience platform technology systems/specifications interdependencies
  • Confident working in a fast-moving environment, with a willingness to make quick decisions based on continuous prioritization and evolving customer needs
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to optimally communicate sophisticated concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in product management or software development
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in Agile Development, application of Agile techniques and delivery practices
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and projects
  • Flexible with occasionally working outside of "normal" core hours to collaborate with global stakeholders and partners based outside of the U.S.
  • Experience at a consumer/retail company preferred
