JOB DESCRIPTION

The Emerging Technologies Team is seeking a Staff Product Designer to work across our suite of business-critical products, helping set a new elevated standard for user experience and visual design. This role will work closely with various teams across platforms and business units in the end-to-end product process, designing the UX and UI of the products themselves while parallel pathing the evolution of a design system that will create consistency and brand equity across the suite, as well as downstream product design efficiencies. The successful candidate will have a proven background in systems-based product design, and will have worked within the product agency, technology, data, or media industries.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Translate business goals and user needs into strategic product opportunities, and incorporate stakeholder and user feedbackInterpret and distill complex strategies and requirements, and visually depict the ideal user experience through information architecture, diagrammatic flows, and varying fidelities of wireframesExpress behaviors, interactions, movements, and materials through interactive, high-fidelity prototypes of key concepts using Figma and other prototyping platforms of choiceFacilitate design working sessions to explore concept innovation and drive original thinkingCreate, grow, and maintain scalable libraries of components, modules, wireframes, templates, and prototypes that can be deployed across the product suiteWrite dev-ready annotations and functional requirements documentation throughout the design processIntegrate accessibility best practices throughout the design process, ensuring the design system meetings accessibility requirements to make our products accessible to allBuild collaborative relationships with strategy, product management, engineering, copywriting, and project management partners throughout the product processShape, facilitate, and analyze design research to inform user needs and product requirementsDeliver ​​compelling presentations to executive leadership and external stakeholders, effectively communicating the value and impact of design

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Proficiency in software and tools including Figma, Adobe CC, Google Workspace, Airtable, prototyping tools, Jira, and othersA deep understanding of how a design language applies across mediums to ensure brand, visual, and interaction cohesion across products, experiences, and marketing materialsAn innate curiosity and enthusiasm to learn, keeping abreast of industry trends and discipline innovationExceptional visual and interaction design skills, as well as written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detail and pursuit of aesthetic excellence.Strategic systems-thinking with the ability to go beyond the pixels and designStrong communication skills when collaborating with partners and stakeholdersProven ability to work proactively and autonomouslyAble to lead multiple design projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and managing resources effectively to deliver high-quality outcomesAble to continuously learn about technology that underpins our business-critical productsAbility to work in a hybrid work environment (2-3 days per week in New York)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140, ,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
