What will you do:

  • Lead the development and execution of field tests to evaluate new products, programs, and services in real-world customer environments to validate performance, ensure reliability, and capture/quantify value delivered as part of the product development process.
  • Develop Field Test Project Briefs with the input of field test technicians, project/program leaders, and upper management to ensure each project is clearly defined and executed.
  • Prioritize the work of field test technicians and assist them as needed, including equipment installation, troubleshooting support, weekly visits, and service coverage.
  • Build good working relationships with customers and field sales representatives to introduce test plans, identify suitable locations, and seek approvals.
  • Develop and execute robust data capture plans, equipment monitoring strategies, and customer feedback methods. Analyze data using statistical analysis tools and present results/conclusions/recommendations to team members in a format that is easy to interpret.
  • Identify, capture, and track issues and provide recommendations to project teams.
  • Follow all safety policies and protocols as well as implement controls to address safety risks during customer trials.
  • Ensure customers are returned to normal operation and that any pre-production equipment/products are recovered upon completion of testing.
  • Share knowledge and learnings with the broader community to help other teams better understand customer and field representative impacts.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of products/systems/services/applications, customers and customer needs of business.
  • Write interim and final reports and hold meaningful meetings with project teams.
  • Initiate efforts to broaden exposure to Institutional products, equipment, and their respective applications.
  • Model safe and inclusive behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Project)
  • Valid Driver's License for local travel
  • Ability to travel up to 15% both domestically and internationally
  • Individual must have strong communication skills
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated Project Leadership skills
  • Experience working with statistical analysis software
  • Understanding and application of basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting concepts
  • Proficiency in hands-on problem-solving to identify and implement corrective actions
  • Experience in developing mechanical and electrical applications
  • Experience working within the Foodservice, Lodging & Hospitality, or Facilities industries.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Individual must have self-initiative and the ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks.
