Position Overview: As the Director of Pricing, you will play a critical role in shaping our pricing strategy to drive profitability and competitiveness in the market. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue and margin while ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll achieve this through close partnership with the Product Development, Merchandising, and Wholesale finance teams. The Pricing Director will ensure appropriate consideration and attention to seasonal pricing adjustments, holiday deals, and cost reduction strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets across product categories and channels.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats, including competitive pricing intelligence, customer segmentation, and demand forecasting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, finance, and sales teams to align pricing and promotional strategies with business objectives and market dynamics.
- Lead pricing optimization initiatives, including pricing elasticity analysis, promotional pricing strategies, and price sensitivity studies.
- Establish and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization as well as with contractual commitments.
- Monitor and analyze pricing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or related roles in retail and wholesale businesses with at least 6 years in retail
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion in a retail/omnichannel context.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
