Road Logistics Operations Manager

- Oversee staff and operations, including training, carrier management, and performance management
- Monitor and manage department's productivity, profitability, and financials in accordance with our policies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, laws, and regulations
- Act as primary liaison with customers, establishing service standards, and fostering relationships for efficiency and growth
- Develop and implement automated processes to enhance department performance and coordinate with Sales for client visits
- Manage customer transition to operations team, ensuring KPI's are met and service protocols are implemented
- Oversee all business processes, from initial inquiry to billing, and provide rates & responses to inquiries
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors, investigate shipment exceptions, and perform all other duties as assigned
- 5+ years' experience in domestic freight forwarding
- 3+ years' experience as a manager and/or supervisor
- Thorough understanding of U.S. transportation market
- Designing and leading continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial
