The Business Development Manager plays a vital role in steering the organization towards future success and growth through strategic development. These strategies are aimed at sustaining profitability, diversifying beyond the current automotive focus, and enhancing core competencies. Reporting directly to the President, this position is pivotal in shaping the company's trajectory.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a business plan tailored for market segments beyond automotive
  • Expanding the automotive business by engaging Tier 1 suppliers and unserved OEMs
  • Identifying promising prospects in targeted segments
  • Driving sales and gross margin profitability for assigned accounts
  • Participating in processes to expand core competencies through research and intelligence gathering
  • Managing key customer accounts and ensuring seamless coordination with internal departments

The Business Development Manager should anticipate frequent travel. Given the nature of external sales roles, a significant portion of their time will be spent outside the company. Flexibility in working hours is crucial to meet customer and company needs.

Required Experience:

  • 4-year degree in a technical or business field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business plans in targeted market segments
  • Experience in dealing with major OEM accounts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read component part and assembly prints
  • Preferably, experience in packaging and automotive/industrial OEM industries

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation, including base salary and incentive bonus, will be commensurate with experience and results achieved. BMH provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with other perks and a stimulating work environment.

This position is available in Sturgis, Michigan, or Mitchell, Indiana.
