Position Summary

We are a fast growing company in a fast expanding market that is subject to continuous change. The successful candidate will be able not only to generate clarity for us - and help us understand the world around us but also help others, such as analysts from Gartner, Forrester, IDC - understand us and our unique value proposition.

We are a very deep and very wide product. Some aspects of it, highly technical, some aspects have actually more to do with how digital transformation happens and how organizations live through those transformations. You will be someone that has a good understanding of the cloud market and the technologies that are behind it as well as a keen observer of the enterprise world.

Your role will be to be the first point of contact for outside parties - beyond analysts - such as trade groups and consortium partners. But you will also serve internally as the provider of competitive benchmarks and strategic vision documents.

This position doesn't assume you are an expert of all things. But you are a quick learner and you like discovering and exploring new domains. You like simplifying terribly complicated subjects and you have patience to teach and share what you have learned.

You will head the newly formed research group that will be composed of junior analysts coming from very different domains: Engineering, Business, Environmental studies, Journalism. You will set the standards and procedures for creating best of breed content that is easy to understand and makes compelling arguments. You will have fun learning as they do.

You will report to the Chief Strategy Officer but work hand in hand with the Chief Marketing Officer as well as the other members of the strategy department namely, the Environmental Impact Officer, our VP of Corporate Development and our Public Affairs officer to create a broad strategy that is data-driven and effective.

What you can expect to do on a daily basis

Build and foster close relationships with key industry analysts and influencers in the cloud, developer tools DevOps and PaaS segments
Provide proactive outreach and manage strategic inquiries and briefings to ensure analysts and influencers are familiar with and up-to-date on business initiatives, important news, and product launches/updates
Develop and manage our analyst engagement and reporting calendars to identify areas of potential coverage
Collaborate with our product teams to complete surveys, questionnaires and vendor assessment reports (MQ, Waves, MarketScapes) that garner positive placement
Working in conjunction with subject matter experts from our Product and Engineering teams, respond to analyst requests for information and coordinate compelling responses that eliminate any confusion and positively position as a leader
Provide strategic value back into the marketing and sales organizations by relaying and providing competitive intelligence, insights and other key findings around current trends, use cases, and verticals
Manage analyst engagements at conferences, field marketing events, industry trade events, virtual events, and webinars
Secure positive analyst/influencer reviews and quotes for use by our PR and customer advocacy teams
Help produce compelling long form content as well as beautiful slideware that explain our competitive landscape and our place in it
Coordinate and mentor the pool of analysts - assign priorities and mentor them to creating great quality content

This is a remote job. Work from anywhere

We're a worldwide, distributed team looking for the best talent. Our remote model has been in practice and thriving since 2014. To us, remote work means flexibility and having truly diverse, global teams.

The other members of the strategy group are mostly based in and around Paris. As such working from the Paris office is a real option for those that like the balance between remote work, and meeting humans physically.

As a side effect of teams being spread across time zones, you may have to adjust to occasional early morning meetings if you live in the Americas, or late night meetings if you live in an APAC country.* We do our best to accommodate time zones but there are preferred hours for certain roles and teams. The team you interview with will be able to give you a clear idea of their collaborative hours.

About our recruitment process

We don't expect a great hire to meet every requirement we have listed. If you can see yourself elevating the team we want to hear about your story. Few of us would be here had we not taken a chance.

You can expect 1-4 interviews on Google Meet. We leave the process fairly customizable to teams and roles, so in some scenarios we're able to streamline the process to have minimal rounds. Expect a higher number of rounds for director level roles and above.

Additionally, you can schedule coffee chats with potential future peers while you're in the recruitment process to see if you can envision working together. Use interview and coffee time to make sure the company aligns with your best working environment.
