The Position

Manage, improve and execute standard processes for the demand planning and inventory fulfilment on an operational, tactical and strategic planning horizon covering the full NAO (US and Canada) product portfolio. This leader works cross-functionally to tailor and execute key planning processes, namely the S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes to achieve NNI Supply Chain objectives and safeguard supply to patients.

Relationships

Reports to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations and Demand Planning. This position regularly interacts with NAO Finance Planning & Analysis, NAO Strategic Finance, NAO Brand leadership and HQ (PS Supply Chain in HQ, Production Planners & Site Supply Chain teams (at PS Sites, HQ & GBS), Commercial Portfolio Strategy, RareD Finance & Commercial Excellence).

Essential Functions

Planning process:Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):Responsible for demand planning and forecasting process as the base for inventory planning and Product Supply capacity planningOwnership of monthly S&OP across NAOManage review of monthly demand fluctuations and GAP analysisExecute S&OP local review process (across NAO) resulting in tactical/strategic supply/demand analyses & decisionsEnsures market demand is properly reflected before it is released to HQ Product Supply organization monthlyProactively align supply & demand in the S&OP planning horizon, identify imbalances and collaborate with HQ Product Supply to identify gap closing actionsManage and contain supply constrains or risks in cooperation with HQ product supply to secure right allocation of products in accordance with the commercial prioritiesManage projects to implement improvements to the processSales & Operations Execution (S&OE):Ownership of monthly S&OE across NAOMonitor and review short term demand fluctuationsExecute S&OE local review process (across NAO) resulting in operational supply/demand analyses & decisionsAlign supply & demand in the S&OE planning horizon, highlight imbalances and collaborate with HQ Product Supply to identify gap closing actionsManage projects to implement improvements to the processPlanning process performance:Monitors, adjusts and develops key performance metrics for planning processesCreation and execution of management planning dashboards and analyticsInventory and Fulfilment Planning:Ownership Finished Goods Inventory Management & OptimizationAccountable for the Product Supply ensuring adequate inventory of finished goods for trade, patient assistance program (PAP) and sample goodsSupply and product preparation for launching productsSample product operations strategy and re-kitting managementInbound goods escalation pointCompliance reporting:Accountable for accurate reporting for TAA Compliance to internal and external stakeholders Physical Requirements Plainsboro, NJ Home Office based. 10% travel required. Development of People Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
