Patient Registrar - NYP Hudson Valley Medical Group - OB/GYN
Not easily accessible to public transportation.
Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley as a Patient Registrar. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you will obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You will record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.
This is a full time Monday-Friday 40 hour work week. Must be flexible for hours between 8am and 7pm and overtime as needed. Must be able to go to the following locations based scheduling:
- 1985 Crompond Road, Bldg E, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567
- 35 S. Riverside Avenue, Suite 106, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520
- 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516
May be required to go to other Hudson Valley Medical Group practices based on organizational needs.
Preferred Criteria
- Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment preferably Pediatrics.
- Prior experience including Orthopedic or Radiology
- Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
- EPIC
- 1+ year of clerical experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Effective communication skills verbal and written.
- Superior Customer Service skills.
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
- Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties efficiently.

$25.00-$32.00/Hourly
