Job Description:
- Develop safety programs aligned with SCRRA Safety Plan.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and provide guidance to field personnel.
- Create and support safety training programs for employees.
- Monitor safety activities and conduct incident investigations.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Develop and support Training Plan under 49CFR‐Part 243 regulations.
- Maintain training documentation for various stakeholders.
- Manage Title 49, CFR, Part 219 program.
- Ensure contract compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Conduct field observations and audits.
- Develop safety culture and training programs.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and incident investigations.
- Maintain relationships with safety personnel and ensure compliance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience in safety program implementation and accident investigations.
- Bachelor's Degree in safety related field preferred.
- Certifications in safety management desirable.
- Supervisory experience in railroad operations or maintenance.
- Trainer/Safety Manager experience in FRA regulated agency.
- Ability to conduct inspections and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
- Outdoor work in all conditions.
Salary Range: $88,480.00 to $132,720.00 depending on experience/qualifications.
