Main Purpose of Job

The main function of this position is to work within our internal processes with all Employment team members to get customers job ready and employed. The internal processes include the job readiness process, the job placement process, the job retention process, the paid internship program, the non-custodial parent program, the foster care youth program, and the development of work experience sites. The employee in this position is responsible for facilitating team processes to assist in meeting team goals and reports directly to the Employment Team Supervisor. The employee must join the Chamber of Commerce and be able to establish relationships with businesses in promoting and recruiting for the agency's workforce development programs\r

POSITION DUTIES

Facilitates the internal job readiness process, the job retention process, the�job placement process, the paid internship process, and the Work�Experience process.\r

Working knowledge / Use of the E&E, ECM, and WORKS systems.\r
\r

At all times will provide customer service to both internal and external�customers that meet or exceeds standards set by the department and�answer all customers questions and concerns�regarding their case.\r

Assist customers with getting to community events for employment�purposes. Employee will assist the customers with having all the�needed items or materials for attending employment opportunities.\r

Required to participate in the agency's PQI process and to be a member�of a PQI committee.�\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
Will participate in the agency's sheltering process when assigned.\r
\r
\r
\r
\r
\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Seven years of experience, three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations and an additional four years of�professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.\r
Notes:\r
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations for the required experience.\r
2.�Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to six years�of the required experience.\r
3.�Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\r
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r
