In addition to the above, we are looking for a candidate who also uniquely fulfills the specific needs of our Managing Attorney role.

We are recruiting a Managing Attorney to lead our Probate and Bankruptcy Teams.

This individual is someone who would unnaturally excel in a game of 'probate and bankruptcy law' trivia and has been a proven leader in previous roles, valuing the development of team members.

A lover of internal processes and procedures, this person will play a key role in developing our Legal Department.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
Supervise Probate and Bankruptcy Teams' day-to-day review and analysis of statutes
Ensure application of statutes are in line with governing settlement documentation such as master settlement agreements or case management orders
Develop and administer complex bankruptcy and probate coordination programs established to resolve mass tort claims
Oversee claims administration as it relates to probate and bankruptcy coordination
Uphold confidentiality and handle protected/sensitive material and information in secure manners provided
Handle all required document distribution and submission on various mass tort and multi-party personal injury settlements
Coordinate with external vendors and firms related to the coordination, review, and approval of settlement claims
Handle external and internal communications related to managed cases with the utmost professionalism and in a reasonable timeframe
Manage and accurately track a large volume of case files and documentation
Provide detailed reporting on all settlement projects being administered by the Bankruptcy and Probate Teams at any given time
Coordinate with Milestone Onboarding Team to track, facilitate, and administer various aspects related to the onboarding process for the respective teams being supervised
Provide clear and accurate information regarding the mass tort settlement process and claimant status
Assist Milestone Solutions Team with plaintiff questions and communication
Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while interacting with claimants
Document and update claimant records accurately in the system
Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve complex claimant concerns
Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate channels
Coordinate with other operational groups and effectively delegate tasks to the appropriate teams while retaining responsibility for successful completion of an overall project
Provide administrative assistance on any key projects or deliverables
Operate with a strong attention to detail, superior time management, and optimal organizational skills
Coordinate timely and accurate execution of key activities and tasks as outlined in proposals, MSA orders, project documents, and/or client requests
Respond in a timely manner to colleagues to keep project deliverables on schedule
Appropriately and effectively communicate clients' needs internally
Identify problems and shortfalls and propose solutions
Maintain accurate data reporting per project

Requirements & Qualifications:
Valid license to practice law
Member of the state bar in good standing (certificate of good standing required upon request)
A minimum of five years legal practice required
Knowledge of settlement administration, bankruptcy and probate as it relates to mass torts
The ability to be agile and react quickly to changing priorities
High attention to detail & administrative skills
Must be an independent self-starter who is also able to collaborate effectively cross-departmentally
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
A keen sense of urgency/time management relating to all duties
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred additional skills:
Experience in mass tort
Familiarity with Salesforce
