Process Engineer II for Proman USA, Inc. (Houston, TX).

Supervise the work of Junior Process Engineers. Responsible for improving plant performance and reliability. Initiate and develop plant improvement modifications and projects. Develop and implement plant/process monitoring and optimization systems. Participate in incident investigations for troubleshooting and determine root cause of plant problems. Guide the timing of plant shutdowns and turnarounds.

Provide process engineering support on plant shutdown and turnaround activities as well as design of new plant equipment and modification of existing equipment.

Identify projects for inclusion in capital expenditure budgets. Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure and improve Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) management.


Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of experience as Process Engineer or similar in gas processing and/or petrochemical sector or related industry.

Requires five (5) years of experience in the following: Supporting the development and implementation of plant/process monitoring and optimization systems

Must have experience:

performing plant equipment evaluations to identify threats to continuous operations and opportunities for optimizing performance; designing plant modifications and providing technical advice and support during start-up, shut-down and abnormal plant operating situations; conducting catalyst and chemical treatment evaluations to achieve optimum utilization; performing technical and economic evaluations of plant projects to achieve improved production volume, plant efficiency and reliability; analyzing equipment failures, plant trips, and incident investigations to determine root causes and make recommendations; monitoring and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and statutory requirements; monitoring procurement activities and budget; ensuring capital and operational projects are executed within the financial period that the approval is granted.
