To achieve this, the incumbent collects data, utilizes engineering techniques, statistical analysis, and leverages technical knowledge to ensure optimal plant performance. Collaboration with Production and Maintenance teams, vendors, and field experts is essential for problem-solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and troubleshoot operating conditions, production rate, quality, and yield to support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.
- Propose modifications to enhance plant performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure proper design and installation of new equipment.
- Execute special process studies, projects, and process safety initiatives.
- Implement improvements to production procedures and record keeping.
- Monitor process conditions for opportunities to improve safety, productivity, quality, and cost.
- Develop a functional understanding of the process through relevant documentation and collaboration.
- Utilize tools like Pi and Statistical Process Control for process optimization.
- Lead problem-solving and process improvement teams.
- Design new equipment and evaluate existing installations.
- Prepare environmental reports and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct personnel training on new systems and procedures.
- BS in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a production or engineering role within a chemical processing facility.
- Demonstrated technical capability, process efficiency, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
