- Consulting on state and local tax services with existing clients
- Assisting with tax planning and research memos
- Developing an understanding of state and local tax regulations
- Preparation of tax notices responses and assist with tax field exams
- Reverse audits and taxability studies
- Preparation of income and franchise tax returns for various states
- Preparation of miscellaneous sales tax forms
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
- 1+ year of sales/use tax experience
- Experience in preparing multiple state tax income or franchise returns
- Experience with Avalara would be preferred
- Proficiency with computerized tax software & Microsoft Office.
- Strong client rapport & project management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment.
