Job Summary and Qualifications- You will assist in the direction of the hospital Infection Control Program
- You will utilizes TheraDoc software and Meditech to investigate Hospital Acquired Infections and Surgical Site Infections and reports these to appropriate agencies
- You will compare laboratory reports with communicable disease list to identify conditions that requires infection control procedures
- You will conducts rounds in patient care areas to serve as a resource to staff for Infection Prevention initiatives
- Education: Graduated from an accredited program or Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse or other health-related field; post-graduate courses in Epidemiology or Infection Control desirable.
- Licensure/Certifications: Georgia licensure as LPN or RN or CIC required
- Experience: 2-4 years clinical nursing experience and two to three years recent experience in infection control required
