Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Denver, CO

Role Overview

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in applying software engineering principles to Prove's operations. By leveraging software tools to manage systems, solve challenges, and automate tasks, you will lead the development of scalable and reliable software systems. Your contribution will enhance the reliability of customer experiences and support development teams in meeting service level objectives (SLOs). Taking ownership of services availability, scalability, and disaster recovery, you will manage large systems through code implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects to innovate solutions to complex challenges
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic planning initiatives
  • Maintain and enforce processes for infrastructure resilience and scalability
  • Promote ownership of design, execution, and deployment of product features
  • React promptly to evolving customer and business requirements
  • Demonstrate expertise in Site Reliability Engineering principles
  • Develop observable production software applications and services
  • Utilize canaries and experiments in work processes
  • Provide valuable advice and feedback to enhance reliability and scalability
  • Embrace automation solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge expansion
  • Mentor colleagues and lead multi-team efforts
  • Contribute to chaos engineering and capacity planning
  • Deliver production-ready code and comprehensive documentation
  • Participate in On Call shifts for SRE supported environments
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 6 to 8 years of production engineering experience or equivalent software engineering exposure
  • 2+ years of web application maintenance experience with technologies like Kubernetes or Docker
  • Proficiency in telemetry for applications and services
  • Strong coding skills with languages such as Java, Go, or Python
  • Experience with operating systems and network fundamentals
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Passion for learning and exploring high-growth technology environments
