Job Description Join us at the best Ship Repair team in Norfolk, VA

We are trying to revolutionize how Norfolk Ship Repair makes decisions based on data. This position will support Planning in predictive modeling of schedule and cost performance across multiple 100+ million-dollar projects for Senior Leadership using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other database tools. He/she will organize, extract, and maintain historical and existing project data to support program planning, solicitation, management, and control of multi-million-dollar Department of Defense (DoD) ship repair projects. He/she regularly coordinates with Finance, Contracts, Project Management, and Senior Directors to set up and review inter-departmental data processes and enterprise-level reporting. The role prepares ad hoc reports and analyses as required.

Location/Schedule/Travel:
  • This role will work 100% onsite in Norfolk, VA.
  • The team works Monday-Friday with a start time anywhere between 7AM-9AM.
  • There may be less than 10% travel annually.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, maintain, and analyze enterprise-level Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for Norfolk Ship Repair
  • Maintain data workflow from collection into data warehouse to presentation in automated dashboards
  • Streamline data collection, modeling, and management practices
  • Develop implementation of Application Programming Interface (APIs), data warehousing, data structures, and databases to streamline and maintain processes
  • Prepare, develop, and maintain business-wide data analytics reports
  • Produce and review ad-hoc project-level projections, graphs, and reports for both internal/external stakeholders
  • Lead techno-functional problems, recommending solutions and improvements.
  • Support compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Business Systems / Data Analytics and Visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience in Data Query Languages (SQL, PowerQuery M, or similar)
  • Experience in mathematical / statistical modeling
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Ability to develop/improve Application Programming Interface (APIs), data warehousing, data structures, or databases to streamline processes
  • Ability to support techno-functional problem solving and process improvements
  • Ability to support program management integration and control strategies
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and functional departments
  • Ability to support decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience in Techno-Functional, Systems Implementation, Systems Administrator, or similar roles
  • Experience in developing data warehousing solutions to streamline performance monitoring, data analytics, and reporting capabilities
  • Experience in Project Management and Controls or Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Experience in Defense (DoD), Government Contracting, Maritime, or Navy

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $142600

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
