The Group Manager Strategic Yield is responsible for contributing and providing strategic leadership to the team that manages domestic intermodal equipment and commercial product design. This includes the ongoing analysis of forecast, capacity, and performance of intermodal services and the management of product solutions. Objective review and oversight of process improvements to support this work. The Group Manager Strategic Yield also has commercial responsibility for railroad owned rail containers and chassis. This professional will work with all levels of the organization to ensure growth and profitability of the domestic intermodal franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and overseeing a high-performing team of forecast and equipment managers Driving yield optimization and efficiency through the implementation of innovative yeild strategies.
  • Utilizing statistical and data analysis to optimize asset availability and utilization.
  • Managing analyses of network opportunities to improve efficiency ultimately driving yeild.
  • Lead planning and forecasting efforts for the Domestic Intermodal franchise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Supply Chain, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in pricing, yield management, or revenue optimization in a logistics or transportation setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with contract management and negotiation.
