Description

The Senior Datawarehouse/ETL Developer has expertise in MS SQL server-based data warehouse deployment, management, and maintenance. This position requires experience with enhancing and maintaining an existing data warehouse, integration of various source data systems, deploys and tests enhancements to the Data Warehouse system, including user interfaces, ETL processes, and data analysis. The Senior Datawarehouse/ETL Developer must have DW SDLC knowledge and experience with MS-SQL Server database development, SQL Server Integration Services, Data Warehouse and database modeling and Data Warehouse architecture.

Core responsibilities and duties; highlight day-to-day activities

Data warehouse SDLC
Expertise in DW/ETL development lifecycle for new development and maintenance & SupportSDLC Experience with Data Migration related projectsProvide the realistic effort and schedule estimation for the work involvedData Integration Services Maintenance & Support
Oversee and manage all data imports, exports, and other interconnections to and from the Data Warehouse (DW).Develop technical requirements, level of effort and scheduling estimates, and implement DW enhancements as requested by the DW Steering Committee.Adjust existing ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) routines for new data elements and data sources and integrate new data into DW.Oversee and monitor SQL System Agent jobs and analyze any failureData Integration Services Development
Architect, Design, Develop, Test and Deploy ETLs based on the Standards and needsData Quality
Verify that existing DW Dashboards are properly reflecting current DW values.Data Quality Check Audits and Maintenance.Develop the QA deliverables including Testing approach, Test Cases and Test PlanTask Documentation
Experience in Requirement collection process from the Business Users and documenting the same and follow the approval process.Provide updated and current technical and user documentation for DW use and operation.Create and maintain the necessary documentations across SDLCSystem Maintenance
Manage database storage, database performance, data availability, perform database compaction and manage the Data Warehouse database size.Perform database consistency checks between Data Warehouse and all other system interacting with Data Warehouse. (e.g., Delphi)DW health check proposal and Implementation

Qualifications

Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten years of experience providing data security for databases, with experience supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW Also Software design and development. Five of the ten years of experience must include software project responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of DW/ETL applicationsSenior-level DW/ETL designers will demonstrate responsibility for successfully executing project programming tasks independently.

MUST Have Skills:

MS SSIS (Extract, Transform, and Load) Data Warehouse Architecture & Design ConceptsSQL System Agent MS Office Tools MS SQL server 2014 or later

Preferred Skills:

Azure cloud platformSharePoint Visual Studio, Git and GitHubBusiness AnalysisMS SSRS MS Power BI
