Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Full-Time position in Stony Brook, New York

We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Experienced Inpatient Psychiatric Physician Assistant for our CPEP/Emergency Department for Stony Brook University Hospital.
Shifts will encompass weekends, and day with evening shifts, such as 3pm-11pm and 8am-4pm.

The PA will conduct psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacological and no-pharmacological interventions, and level of care recommendations for individuals admitted to our Stony Brook Hospital medicine units with psychiatric and substance use co-morbidity.
The PA will involve families, obtain collateral history for accurate assessments as needed, and will collaborate with other medical staff, nurses and social workers in clinical management and discharge planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree from ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NYS Physician Assistant license.
- NCCPA certified
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute hospital psychiatry experience.
- Experience working with medically ill patients.
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a psychiatric PA.
- Teaching experience.
