WHOOP's Business Systems team is seeking an experience Software engineer to help shape the future of our systems architecture. The Business Systems team is pivotal in facilitating operations across various departments, including Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Membership Services, and more. Our core mission is to develop robust systems and integrations that support WHOOP's scaling efforts and enhance the experience for our customers and internal team members.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Business Systems team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our systems architecture. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, accurate, and user-friendly systems and tools. Our responsibilities span managing SaaS platforms, orchestrating integrations between them, and interfacing with our backend systems to ensure timely and accurate order delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement integration, automation, and dataflow solutions for systems like Netsuite, Salesforce, CommerceTools, custom back-end services, and more.
  • Develop scalable enterprise software integrations using iPaaS, such as Boomi, or by developing code within our backend software stack, depending on the project's requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers, Customer Support, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to troubleshoot platform or integration issues.
  • Build integrations using API and EDI resources tailored to project or partner needs.
  • Design and Develop REST APIs for integration with our backend systems (written in Java)
  • Own and optimize the use of iPaaS solutions at WHOOP, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in application integration techniques.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for integrations and data flows, including the creation of data contracts with stakeholders and proactive monitoring.
  • Collaborate with support teams to resolve production incidents and develop preventative measures.
  • Own and drive prioritization of the systems roadmap.
  • Develop automated testing solutions and lead rigorous integration and user acceptance testing for projects, enhancements, and system releases, and help develop a robust CI/CD pipeline and strong SLDC principles.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on developing best-in-class systems and scalable solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience developing enterprise-level software integrations.
  • Strong experience working with iPaaS solutions (Boomi, Workato, Zapier, , etc.) to interact with APIs or EDIs.
  • Proven track record collaborating with IT, Product Management, or Engineering teams to deliver custom solutions.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers & analysts
  • Proficiency in Java and JavaScript. Salesforce Apex experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong knowledge of databases and the various structures and methods.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Netsuite or other ERP/MRP systems (preferred).
  • Salesforce or Netsuite certifications (preferred).
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer and Wholesale environments (preferred).

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
