Summary / Role Purpose

Ansys is the leading developer of engineering simulation software that enables engineers to innovate and create the products of tomorrow. The role of Senior Product Marketing Manager for Model-Based Systems Engineering is to define, drive and develop product marketing plans and sales enablement content for the ModelCenter and Systems Architecture Modeler product range, and Model-Based Systems Engineering solution at Ansys, in support of the go-to-market priorities for the business unit. The marketing strategy should reflect an understanding of key industry trends, market opportunities, Partnership strategy and go-to-market and the competition. This includes the creation of sales readiness materials and marketing plan & strategy to support the growth and revenue goals associated with the product line and specific global campaigns by leading the development of product messaging, content strategy, marketing and sales readiness content, as well as maintaining the external strategic co-marketing partnerships required by the business.

The strategy should reflect an understanding of key industry and technology trends, strategic market opportunities and sales priorities. Success will be defined by effective campaign execution that results in significant pipeline and revenue growth.

This position requires strong technical acumen as well as the ability to communicate and drive consensus among cross-functional groups to achieve joint goals across a variety of departments, including product, product marketing, industry, sales, corporate marketing, development, partnership, field marketing and strategic partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers value-based messaging for the MBSE-related product lines to prospective customers, existing customers, and partners.
  • Creates and develops marketing plans and lead generation campaign kits targeting the global systems engineering audience in alignment with business growth objectives and key initiatives.
  • Manages complex projects and executes on global, multi-product marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for product marketing execution of new feature and product launches as part of twice annual release cycle.
  • Composes engaging audience-specific thought-leadership marketing content, including case studies, application briefs, web content, presentations, datasheets, whitepapers, and sales playbooks.
  • Drives execution of product promotion through virtual events, social media, third party websites, blogs, and other digital mediums to build awareness and engagement with targeted materials engineering personas.
  • Ensures all product-related leads are tracked and marketing campaigns are accurately reported to measure success against business goals.
  • Partners with the Ansys corporate, industry and field marketing teams to develop and execute campaigns that drive new business as well as up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Deliver sales-focused training for the global field and channel partner sales teams in partnership with Ansys sales enablement team to ensure Sales can effectively position Ansys materials products.
  • Conducts competitor analysis to understand competitor product features, positioning and messaging related to materials information management and related offerings.
  • Responsible for measuring and reporting performance of product marketing tactics on a quarterly basis.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Marketing (preferably MBA), Mechanical or Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems engineering concepts like model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Superior ability to translate product functionality into clear customer value and deliver clear and compelling messaging
  • Broad functional expertise across several marketing competencies (Digital, Social, Web Account Based Marketing).
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed organization.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Masters or other advanced degree in Marketing or Engineering with previous experience in product marketing for software business.
  • Experience in systems engineering trend areas like: MBSE, System Architecture Modelling, SysML, Digital Models and Simulation.
  • Experience supporting global B2B demand generation campaigns.
