A day in the life.

As our VP of Sioux Falls BI Sales & Dakotas Placement on the Executive Strategic Leadership team, you'll create and communicate the vision for the Dakotas Business Insurance division, driving relentless pursuit of growth for the benefit of our clients and colleagues. Every day you with develop, define, and implement short and long-term strategies for the Business Insurance sales division. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the achievement of the division's strategic objectives through visionary leadership, talent development, talent acquisition, markets/marketing process, and revenue production. This role is a key contributor to the marketing operations within the Dakota offices, ensuring the retention and acquisition of quality clients. Additionally, you'll partner with producers in technical placement, analytic, and account retention, act as an internal resource for coverage and market related issues. Finally, you will be responsible for working with Industry Practice Group leaders in managing strategy and relationships with carriers specific to the Industry Practice Groups.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in business insurance industry, including experience within a broker/agency or carrier environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or closely related field.
  • Thorough command of business insurance marketplace; demonstrated ability to lead application of technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with insurance carriers.
  • Proven ability to interact with senior executives, to develop and gain support of a vision, and to operate effectively under pressure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives and offer a strategic viewpoint to holistically ensure MMA Dakotas goals/objectives are achieved.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  • Insurance sales experience.
