Job Description:
Overview: The Vice President of Sales and Operations will be responsible for overseeing the sales department, managing sales managers, and ensuring efficient operational processes. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive sales growth, streamline operations, and report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead and manage the sales team, including sales managers, to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to increase market share and revenue.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement and optimize operational processes to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for growth.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for sales and operations.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales and operations staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO on sales and operational performance.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales and operations.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop customer retention and loyalty programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales management and operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- MBA or relevant advanced degree.
- Experience in the technology or manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role.
