Your effectiveness in this position will depend on your comprehensive knowledge of medical billing practices, healthcare finance, governmental insurance, and the specific regulations surrounding Medicare bad debt. You will need to communicate clearly and effectively to rectify discrepancies, undertake research, and review processed claims and agency reports to determine the amounts eligible for Medicare Bad Debt cost reporting.
Your financial expertise will play a vital role as you collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve any account discrepancies, with the end goal of ensuring that unpaid amounts processed by Medicare are logged accurately and promptly.
What to Expect in Your Role:
Vigilantly monitors patients' accounts to confirm accurate claims of Medicare and Managed Medicare bad debt costs.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the regulations and guidelines governing Medicare Bad Debt.
