This team focuses on the infrastructure to take applications from idea to high-performance production. We are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to help build the future of Rentals infrastructure. You'll be an integral part of the process and perform a diverse set of tasks. You will:
- Build developer tooling to support self-service, on-demand test environments and different styles of deployment like canaries, blue/green
- Actively collaborate and share expertise with distributed teams across Rentals
- Automate and reduce the friction of platform onboarding
- Provide support to developers using the team's tools
- Develop and maintain high-quality software applications
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
Who you areWe are looking for a talented and experienced software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java and best practices for software development, as well as significant experience developing Back End platforms.
Qualifications:- At least 7+ years of Back End software development experience
- Demonstrated experience in Java and at least one other language
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with developing for Kubernetes or other container management platforms
