Position Overview:
Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (FTCH) is seeking a seasoned Traffic Engineer to enhance our Infrastructure Division. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in the design and execution of diverse transportation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead design projects focused on traffic management, signage, roadway markings, and signal systems.
- Conduct traffic impact assessments, safety evaluations, signal optimization, and forecasting studies.
- Prepare proposals and comprehensive reports.
- Oversee project management and design assignments.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and coordinate efforts across various disciplines.
- Collaborate with transportation teams across multiple states.

Physical Requirements:
Occasional light lifting, sitting, and walking are necessary. The role involves fieldwork, requiring navigation around project sites and proficiency in computer usage. Travel to project locations is essential, along with the ability to utilize communication and documentation tools effectively. Visual acuity is required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer license in Ohio is mandatory.
- Over 10 years of experience in traffic engineering and ODOT-related projects.
- Familiarity with the ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies is advantageous.
- Expertise in complex traffic management design is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of ODOT traffic standards and guidelines is essential.
- Proficiency in MicroStation software and experience with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro are required. Familiarity with TransModeler, highway lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is a plus.
