Job Summary and Qualifications

The professional registered nurse works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The professional registered nurse incorporates creative factors from Watson's theory into his/her practice. Practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution's nursing philosophy, Professional Practice Model. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

What you will do in this role:

  • Circulates diagnostic and interventional procedures and has a working knowledge of supplies, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices.
  • Able to use hemodynamic monitoring equipment and interpret the data.
  • Administers contrast media and other medications as directed by the physician.
  • Documents of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. Documentation must be timely, accurate, concise and complete.
  • Under direction of the Lead Tech or Charge RNs, coordinates procedure schedule as assigned.
  • Assists with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager.
  • Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements for the role:

  • Prefer 1+ years' experience in invasive lab setting and/or IMC/ICU experience
  • ADN or BSN required
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Georgia OR license in compact state with authorization to work in the state of Georgia.
  • BCLS and ACLS required.
