Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assisting in imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment such as computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners.
  • Assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization.
  • Prepare and circulate within the procedure room and procure all equipment needed for given procedures.
  • Assess patients for factors that may indicate or contraindicate procedures, such as medications or insufficient patient preparation.
  • Verify clinical information according to departmental policies.
  • Administer intravascular contrast media and medication according to protocol.
  • Document diagnostic and interventional treatment and patient data in the appropriate records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in radiology.
  • ARRT registered or ARRT registry eligible or credentialed by RCIS.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field, preferred.
