Application Analyst - .Net & App Operations

What does a successful Application Analyst do at Fiserv?

An Application Analyst supports other Fiserv associates, enabling them to provide world class products and support for our clients. They strongly contribute to the security and compliance of our environment. Duties include patching, vulnerability remediation, Active Directory management and day-to-day support of our infrastructure. They also have opportunities to help evolve our processes to support the development team's transition to Agile.

In supporting the existing infrastructure, Application Analysts work with a range of technologies including but not limited to: Windows operating systems, Linux, Java, .NET, relational databases, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS) as well as many other tools. There are many opportunities to learn and support key aspects of Fiserv products running on these platforms.

What you will do:

  • Work in an enterprise environment interacting with and supporting both remote systems and teams
  • Use system management software and appropriate analysis tools to identify and report on service performance, including proposals for improvement
  • Monitoring alerts and maintaining infrastructure compliance to corporate security policies
  • Following established guidelines to accomplish tasks and solve complex problems
  • Candidates may be required to provide afterhours support, when the need arises

What you will need to have:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining Windows and/or Linux systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills necessary to diagnose and repair system problems

What would be great to have:

  • Proficient with Microsoft SCCM for deployment of updates and applications
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS, Skytap
  • Programming: Java, PHP, C, Go, Spring Boot, revision control (Git)
  • Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl, Shell
  • API management (SOAP/REST)
  • Automation: Ansible, Job Scheduling (Control-M), Cron
  • Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Splunk Enterprise
  • Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, NFS/CIFS)
