Job Title: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Concord Hospital

Under the guidance of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is accountable for delivering direct and indirect patient care responsibilities for a group of patients, ranging from simple to complex cases, for the specialized population on the unit or department, under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Requirements:

  • Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (as per the NH Board of Nursing).

Certification, Registration & License:
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or an equivalent course accredited by the American Heart Association.

Licensure:
Current New Hampshire State LNA license.

Experience:
Demonstrated capability to function as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities of daily living and personal care needs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Executes technical skills/procedures related to physical, mental health, and social needs of patients under the guidance of the RN.
  • Documents care provided and communicates observations of patient's physical, social, and mental status along with basic patient data collected to the RN.
  • Adheres to safe patient handling policy.
  • Demonstrates effective time management.
  • Maintains cleanliness, safety, and supplies in patient care areas.
  • Receives delegated work following the five rights of delegation.
  • Completes job-specific requirements and other assigned duties.
  • Serves as a preceptor for new team members.
