Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as company guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough admission assessments and document resident information accurately.
  • Develop and implement acute and long-term care plans or service plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Monitor and track clinical systems, such as wound care and infection control, under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
  • Provide general consultation and guidance on health-related concerns within the community.
  • Notify physicians and family members of any changes in a resident's health and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain open communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Deliver educational meetings for residents and staff, promoting a culture of health and wellness.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and prospective resident information.
  • Attend required training, in-service, and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe working practices.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor towards residents, visitors, families, and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
  • 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse's License in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner.
Management/Supervisory Authority

This role may provide oversight and direction for care staff, and is responsible for managing the care and well-being of residents in a fast-paced assisted living environment.
