SALARY RANGE: $283,442 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

Nokia of America Corporation, Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CADesign and develop embedded software for data center and Software-defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) products, based on Nokia's Service Router Operating System (SROS). Enhance the capabilities of Connection Manager in Nokia's SDWAN portfolio. Assist with rework to handle wider scope of network failures within Connection Manager, to ensure non-stop operation of customer's networks under stress conditions. Analyze customer needs and develop software solutions. Enhance the scope of the RG-Shunt in Nokia's SDWAN portfolio. Customize the SROS to program L2 and L3 forwarding plane over VXLAN tunnels, based on XGS family of ASICs, using designated software libraries. Integrate SROS with packet extraction logic to support extraction of networking protocols for seamless operation of the SROS' control plane on third party devices. Test software development via the regression test framework and other tools developed and maintained by Nokia's infrastructure team. Provide feedback to documentation teams about the scenario's testbed on customer topologies and provide details on scale deployments. #LI-DNI

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience (of which, 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive); OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

Must have 4 years of experience in the following: Designing software for distributed software stacks; Operating System (OS) architecture, and Routing/Switching; Programming and scripting languages, including C/C++ in Linux environments; IP networking, testing and troubleshooting; Networking protocols, including Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) and Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD); Networking technology, including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) or Virtual Extensible Lan (VXLAN); and Data networks and Computer Networking including Layer 2/3 protocols.
