Greater LA Area, United States Medely Full time

The Company

Medely is a high-growth series-C technology start-up reimagining the future of healthcare work by providing an on-demand marketplace and workforce management tools. With the support of top-tier investors, Medely has quickly become a go-to platform for healthcare professionals to instantly access high-paying jobs with the freedom and flexibility to work when and where they want.

As a fully remote team of sharp, collaborative, and entrepreneurial individuals, we are dedicated to redefining the way healthcare workers and facilities work together to provide for patients. We are looking for passionate and skilled professionals to join our team and help us take on tough challenges in this fast-expanding healthcare industry segment.

Join us in our mission to transform the healthcare staffing industry and improve patient lives

The Role:

Medely's vision to transform healthcare staffing is only realized if professionals (supply side) can seamlessly connect with facilities (demand side) through our on-demand marketplace. The Marketplace team is the connecting tissue that sits at the intersection of many teams at Medely (Pros, Facilities, Operations & Sales teams). We are responsible for all algorithms and user experiences that ensure all shifts are filled (supply forecasting, dynamic pricing, matching pros with jobs, and overall marketplace health). You will be responsible for product vision and strategic decisions impacting multiple lines of business and require a deep understanding of each team's requirements and business priorities to make optimal tradeoffs for the overall business.

As the Lead Product Manager for Marketplace org, you will help answer business-critical questions like - how do we ensure and improve on an industry-leading fill rate, how can we create the best match between a Pro and assignment, what should be the key elements of our pricing strategy, how should we think about dynamic pricing, what levers do we use to maintain a balanced marketplace, how should we think about trade-offs across all dimensions including reliability vs convenience vs quality. You will operate as a key thought leader and decision-maker across both business and tech. You will work with a broad set of cross-functional partners across sales, operations, engineering, data science, design, and more

Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated by challenging problems and constraints, and is passionate about great user experiences, scaling through technology, and combining quantitative and qualitative data to guide decision-making.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lead delivery of products that impact healthcare professionals, and facilities in our labor marketplace.
  • Own and lead the end-to-end product development process of major features and iterations, including creating high-quality PRDs, and working closely with engineering, design, and operations. to bring world-class products to market.
  • Be actively involved in defining the strategy for your program. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair our ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Innovate - find new ways of simplifying the user experience with new technologies.
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process.
  • Own your numbers, drive your cross-functional team of engineers and data scientists to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals - challenging all members to think ambitiously and creatively - and overachieve them.
  • Distill vision and strategy for the team, and rally all cross-functional team members. Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results to stakeholders.

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of product management experience shipping software at scale in start-ups or large-scale tech companies.
  • Prior experience building and launching data-driven products using machine learning. Ability to effectively engage ML engineers and data scientists to set a long-term technical/product vision and deliver on it.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members up to and including the executive level. Marketplace org requires coordination with multiple stakeholders including operations, sales, and support.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting product roadmap and status to the business leadership regularly.
  • Effectively collaborate with data scientists to define headroom and success metrics for projects, set up experiments, design algorithms, and analyze large-scale data sets to inform product strategy.
