Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for an Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) in the area of SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) within the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Customer Services & Delivery board area.

In this role, you will join the Mutli-Tenant Engineering team: We build, harden, and operate the interal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will help deliver SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers aiming at functional completeness, streamlined deployments, and smooth operation. You will be working closely with technical product managers, engineers and architects with a focus on HCM applications. You will have the opportunity to solve the intricate challenges of scale and security which are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud, while using your skills in HCM environment setup, functional & technical expertise, complexity analysis, and stakeholder mangement. You will engage closely with Operations colleagues, Security, as well as the different engineering teams. You will drive the end-to-end deployment of product capabilities - from defining implementation concepts, to performing functional & technical assessments, Security hardening, ultimately cuminating in successful deployments and customer adoption.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar
• Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
• In depth knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and design incl. hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins or ArgoCD), Monitoring (e.g. Dynatrace), Logging (like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Grafana), Network
• Very good understanding of deployment automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Terraform) as well as knowledge of GitLab/GitHub
• Scripting background with Powershell, Python, or Bash
• Experience in Cloud Native technologies such as Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), Docker, repository management (Artifactory), service management (Consul), and microservices
• Experience with Security processes and tools (e.g. Vault or Web Application Firewalls)
• Experience with SuccessFactors (HCM) system environment setup incl. dependency management and user administration
• Product knowledge of SuccessFactors (HCM) apps incl. Mobile are a plus
• SAP HANA database knowledge
• Decision-making, persistence, and can-do attitude
• Excellent methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Fluency in written and spoken English

WORK EXPERIENCEv

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
• 2+ years of experience in cloud operations - developing, delivering and maintaining Cloud Products
• Development experience in at least one programming language
• Professional experience in software engineering roles
