Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain a Platform as a Service offering utilizing RedHat OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with the A&A Team to uphold security standards for system operations.
  • Enhance and manage existing infrastructure, including autoscaling, supporting new services, and optimizing for cost efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for processes and systems.
  • Oversee system management in an AWS environment, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS.
  • Administer systems in a VMware vSphere environment, employing NSX and NetApp StorageGRID.
  • Automate and refine service deployment processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Platform as a Service offerings, such as RedHat OpenShift or Tanzu.
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in building and managing Platform as a Service offerings via cloud providers.
  • Strong proficiency in RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions.
  • In-depth knowledge of RedHat OpenShift and other Kubernetes distributions.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker.
  • Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in task automation using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and Continuous Integration tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing production RedHat OpenShift clusters.
  • Understanding of cloud APIs and AWS/CLI interactions.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development.
Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator.
